On May 4th, 2012 our son Kyle and his wife Diane celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary. They have one child, 11 year old son Keoni. This year, he did not attend their romantic anniversary dinner but nearly every other year he has. Why?
Because it makes him feel loved and a part of an intimate setting that includes him. When our three sons were growing up, Anne and I often did that with them, for our love didn't feel complete without them, and they brought so much joy to us.
That is not to say dear reader that you should include your children in a romantic anniversary dinner but if you do include them, you are not alone in doing that. All these years later, we are thankful those beautiful children joined us in celebrating our anniversaries.

He was certainly missed this year. It's hard to celebrate such a special day with out him!
Keoni is such a beautiful child and a joy to be with. I understand your feelings and even the thought of him puts a big smile across my face.
