It was a busy day, but for about 2 minutes, I stopped and absorbed the beautiful bouquet of Snapdragons before me. They were blooming in golden yellows and pinks and reds and a burgundy and nearby another snap dragon bouquet even included orange blossoms.
The plants were about 2 1/2 tall and thick with blossoms, lit almost fluorescent by the bright sunlight. It was a stunning sight to behold.
Why does this matter? Because it was living in the moment. Life is but a collective of moments and the wise person lets few of them pass without appreciating them. Most people assume there will be some other time when they will be less busy and then they will live in the moment, not realizing when these moments are gone, they are gone.
However busy you are, don't miss these moments. Think of them like little calorie free Chocolate Sundays of sheer pleasure. If you do, your life will feel more joyous and you will find yourself readily becoming an integral part of life's greater journey.
