How To Find Your Inner Beauty

For many people it is easy to feel shame and to focus on their failures. But each of us has an inner beauty and today, I would like to help you to identify some of what is your inner beauty.

The best way to do this is to place yourself in a beautiful setting, one of peace and tranquility as you consider your inner beauty. A botanic garden, a park, along side the sea shore or perhaps a chapel, in which there is no-one else present but you, could serve you nicely.

And as you consider your inner beauty, are these some of your attributes:

1) Arms that have held a baby.

2) Hands that reach out to those in need.

3) A mind that remembers birthdays, anniversaries and other important events.

4) Courage that leads you to take action for the good of all, when others hesitate.

5) A smile that makes life a little nicer for everyone you meet.

6) A kind spirit that does favors for others, often without being asked

7) An integrity that you believe in and that others trust.

8) A loving and giving presence children can depend on.

9) Ears that can listen and a heart that can forgive.

10) A gentleness that sends ripples of peace and love across the grand pond of life.

If some of these describe your attributes, you have a tremendous inner beauty that makes this a better world because you are a part of it. Now please add to this list, and note each attribute so that the next time you feel down about yourself, you can re-read it and say to yourself, "I am a beautiful and loving person and I am proud to be me."
