Do You Have Enough Self-Confidence To Face Rejection?

Many people have big dreams, but their lack of self-confidence prevents them from ever accomplishing those dreams. If you are attracted to another beautiful human being, don't let those fears of rejection stop you from making your feelings known.

The worst that can happen is that person says no, and you realize that yours was a match not meant to be, and you open your heart to the next beautiful person. One of those beautiful people will be the match meant for you and together your hearts will soar.

But that fear of rejection also stops many people from pursuing the careers of their choice. I hoped to become a successful entrepreneur, but to do so meant I had to close deals. This required me to develop my sales skills and along the way, many a prospective corporate customer said no, and some of them were so abrupt about it, the rejection felt personal.

But I persisted, learning crucial sales lessons in the process and eventually many a prospect became a customer and with a great group of employees, we built a very successful company.

Politicians must muster their courage to offer themselves and their ideas to the public. And each time you see a politician lose an election, you are witnessing a person going through the pain of rejection. But the best them persist, some like Abraham Lincoln losing many times, on their way to holding major office, in his case becoming one of the greatest U.S. presidents.

So take heart. At times we all lose and we all feel the sting of rejection. But when that happens, dust yourself off and get back in the battle again, a battle you will want to wage in the nicest possible way, with compassion and integrity. For you will grow from each experience and that is the only way you will succeed, whether in matters of the heart, or in your career or in other matters you hold dear.
