No-one enjoys a hospital visit, but as an expression of love, offering kind words of reassurance to someone about to have surgery or the gift of your company and a laugh or two to someone in the healing process is a very generous and loving act.
If you bring some bright and cheery flowers, and some reading material, those are also thoughtful acts from the heart. When someone is down, he or she soon learns who cares enough to set aside the time to make a hospital trek, and who has a heart filled with compassion for them.
