When Being A Couple In Love Counts The Most

At 67 years of age, I recall in my heart the advice of my wise Aunt Dottie, offered to me so many years ago.

Aunt Dottie said loving and raising one's children is marvelous. But if all goes well, eventually those children will grow up and have happy, fulfilling lives with a mate and children of their own. While they and their families will remain an integral part of your life, it is you as a couple that will form the closest of bonds, immersed in each other's lives and striving to meet each other's needs.

This is when the love between you becomes most important for this is when it is most needed. It can bring you the greatest of joy with the person who has shared your life for a very long time and who understands, treasures and loves you.
