On Tuesday over lunch at a local restaurant with Mary Houston and me, 97 year old Pat Ward laughingly announced, "I want to do some fast living." And then with a sparkle in her eye, she added, as we all laughed heartily, "I better hurry up. Time is running out."
What a great outlook expressed by Pat, a sharp as can be woman who will turn 98 in just two months. If she can have this perspective on life, why can't you and I? After all, life is precious and it is meant to be lived and lived now for all of its joy, all of its love and all of its spirit. This marvelous outlook on life could help explain why Pat is with us, a shining star still aglow.
