The Mist That Awakened The Day

This morning as the sun rose in the blue sky shrouded in in a light white mist, beneath and through 70 foot tall evergreen pine trees, about a 20 foot by 20 foot stream of sunshine lit the street, the moisture hanging softly in the air, contrasted by the shadows that surrounded it.

The air was fresh and scented by the pine trees and for a few minutes, it was if the heavens spoke and in my mind, I could hear gospel singers raise their voices in a magnificent harmony, as if welcoming a great presence. And a great presence it was, free to anyone who witnessed it or who simply inhaled the moist and scented air, as a mini-celebration of life was taking place.

Wherever you are, please seek out the beauty that surrounds you and let it lift your heart and make you even more thankful for the special gift of life that is yours.
