Men, sometimes we thoughtlessly do things that drive women away from us. Please look at this list and see if any of them apply to you:
1) Ogling or making eyes at other women when we are on a date, or already a couple with a special lady. Ogling other women is hurtful to the woman we are with because it brings out her insecurities about herself and about the strength of the relationship. We wouldn't like it if the special lady in our lives ogled other men.
2) A man who speaks glowingly of other women from work to the special lady in his life and then criticizes his special lady about not measuring up to those women at work. "Why can't you do this, she does it and does it well," type criticism. We would resent it if this were said to us and we shouldn't say it to our special ladies.
3) A man who arrives home from work and demands his dinner right now, offering little greeting and taking no interest in what she has to say. This thoughtless action is disrespectful and hurtful for she is far more than a short order cook.
4) An abrasive or negligent father. Women get very upset and protective when their children's well-being is threatened by a father who insults and destroys their children's self-esteem. And they resent fathers who have no time for their children.
If anything on this list applies to you, it is correctable if you care enough to do so. Given the importance of the special lady in your life, and of your children if you have children, I hope you will take corrective action, for their well-being and happiness and yours as well.
