One of the joys each of us has is remembering those wonderful people who uplifted our lives but have since passed away. Thoughts of them warm our hearts. But what if:
Instead of celebrating only the lives of those who uplifted us but are now gone, we celebrated the lives of those who are still with us, particularly those who are very senior in age.
Might we then express our gratitude directly to them, and receive their response? Might we then bring additional joy into their lives?
This is the nicest form of celebration, when from our hearts, we uplift those who have uplifted us.
