If we are kind and loving, it becomes apparent to all.
Are we there for our spouses? Are we there for our children? Or are we too busy and give them a low priority if we are there at all? Can they rely on us? Are we as good as the promises we make? Or have we become expert at making excuses and blaming others?
Do we regularly give our loved ones our undivided attention? Do we listen to them with compassion? Or do we cast their cares aside or bury their self-esteem in our harsh words?
Do we express our love in words and with enthusiasm and smiles and with hugs and kisses? Or are we un-expressive and aloof, depriving our loved ones of the warmth, closeness and reassurance everyone needs?
It is easy to think of ourselves as kind and loving but it is in our actions we reveal ourselves for who we truly are.
