The benefits of being in love are profound and bring great exhilaration. But breakups occur and when love is lost the exhilaration that used to be becomes the heartache that is and the pain can be overwhelming.
Women release that pain in tears and in speaking with others who nurture them in times of crisis. But many of us men bear the pain within, as its ache is relentless, casting a dark cloud over our lives. The wise among us men are not afraid to shed some tears if we are able but under no circumstance should we keep so heavy a burden within.
It needs to be expressed, and eventually with that expression and the passage of time will come relief, as our internal sun begins to shine again. As that happens, finding a new love begins anew, and with it, exhilaration may soon flood into our hearts.
