"Your inner life is your real life," remarked Oprah Winfrey on her television show on 10/23/11 and her point is profound. So many people are fearful of aging and "losing" their looks as they get caught up in the inconsequential and forgettable aspects of life.
For what really matters is the journey of self-discovery and personal growth. This is a journey in which you learn to love and respect yourself and not be concerned about the aging process and fears of people thinking less of you because in your mind, you are not as attractive as you used to be.
To those who superficially judge others by the false notion only youth is attractive, open your heart to them for they think in ignorance. Those of them who eventually live long lives and grow no wiser, will wind up despising themselves.
This is a wonderful time in your life to revel in all that life has taught you and light up social gatherings by the interest you take in others. For that is what people deeply desire, to be with those who take a sincere interest in them.
Even the most shallow of observers needs and welcomes this interest.
But then you know that for this is but one aspect of growing older, wiser and more self-confident as your real beauty shows ever more brightly.
