We have all been wronged by others, in some cases terribly wronged. We have also wronged others. But Dear Reader, forgive them now and to the best of your ability, correct the wrongs you have committed, and in any case forgive yourself.
Not to forgive is like carrying a 100 pound barbell on your shoulders at all times. It weighs you down as it tires you emotionally and physically and drains your loving, creative and constructive energy as you focus on the weight of your burden.
In many cases, those who wronged you didn't know any better at the time, and hopefully they are wiser now. Others may have been malicious or greedy but if so, are they worth your time, your anger and your attention today, tomorrow and throughout your life?
If you are religious, treat it as a test of faith and leave it to a Higher Being, a Being far more capable of handling what has happened than you are. Or recognize it as karma, for what goes around comes around.
However vicious, cruel or hurtful their acts were, let it go. And give yourself that same courtesy. If you do it will help clear the way for your heart to soar, and as it does, it will allow you to uplift the hearts of others as well.
