Does A Woman Lose Her Beauty With Age?

Many women fear they will lose their beauty as they grow older. In their youth, they were attractive but as time passes, and they age, they believe others won't or don't find them to be desirable.

So some women desperately seek to retain a youthful appearance in an endless chase of face lifts and other elective surgery. It is heartbreaking

Real beauty comes from within, and it grows prettier as a woman experiences life and she has more to share from the depth of wisdom she has gained. And traits such as compassion, warmth, charm, forgiveness, and expressions of love never go out of style.

To those people too shallow to see beauty in a woman as she ages, I am sorry for you because you are lacking some of life's most important lessons of observation and of personal growth.

I hope you grow beyond the superficial youth driven culture perpetuated by a media and its advertisers determined to make women uncertain of themselves and therefore buy the products they sell in order to feel better about themselves.

This huge falsehood is meant to make money by creating a widespread feeling of inferiority among women and it often succeeds if greed, deception and stupidity are measures of success.

It is cruel and it devalues women, especially older women in ways men seldom face. And none of us have to buy into it. Those people of greater wisdom do not.

To women who are fortunate enough to live to an older age, I salute your beauty and would hug you if I could. Thank you for being you.

Dick
