Television ads are often glamorous and define people as happy and successful if they buy the products they advertise and by implication, people are failures if they don't. Some TV shows do the same. To be rich, famous and powerful and in some ads thin, is to be admired, otherwise you are a loser. This is nonsense!
The intent is to sell products and ad agencies are experts at it, making people feel inferior if they don't buy the products, and the shows they advertise on perpetuate these myths. Don't get caught up in this silliness. You were born with value and have continued to grow. Think of the wonderful differences you make in the lives of others and the many things you do that bring happiness and fulfillment to them and to you.
You don't need to buy into the fantasies these television ads and shows present, none of which any of the actors and production team can even start to live up to. Instead, see yourself for who you really are, a child of God, a spiritual being in body and special in your own right, unique in the world. You were made to love and are a person worthy of being loved.
